Marissa "Buu'raik'a" Pasquale

Miss Pueblo of Acoma 2018-19

Platform: Keres Language Preservation and The Importance of Family

Gu’wa’dzi! Gui’da’wa Hou’ba. Du Shi’no’me Buu’raik’a ese Uu’sra’ch Haa’nu Se’da.

Hello everyone! My name is Marissa Pasquale. I am of the Sun Clan. My Parents are April and Brandon Pasquale. My Maternal Grandparents are Joseph and the late Vina Leno. My Paternal Grandparents are Harold and the late Rebecca Pasquale.

First, I would like to Thank My Community for their support as I go through my journey as Miss Pueblo of Acoma. In addition, I would like to Thank the Judges and the Miss Pueblo of Acoma Pageant Organization for taking time out of their day to support my Sister and I. Lastly, I also want to thank my family for the encouragement and the support that they continue to give me. As Miss Pueblo of Acoma, I will encourage Keres Language Preservation and the Importance of Family because without my family, I don’t think I could’ve accomplished what I have thus far. They are my biggest supporters and motivators. They push me to do my best in everything that I do. I am forever grateful to be given this opportunity to represent my family and my Pueblo. May all your blessings be bountiful in return. I look forward to getting more involved with our community and taking part in events to promote our Akume ways.

Da’wa’ee.
