My name is Taylia Vallo, Shiidiityaitsa eese, Yaak’a Kuuchinish hanu seda, Uustraatra waashti seda. My traditional name means Star Woman. My parents are Mikalyn Lewis and Marvis Vallo. My stepfather is Joel Romero. My maternal grandparents are Michael and Lynn Lewis and my paternal grandparents are Marvin Ike and Ruth Vallo. My siblings are Taven and Tyleia.

 

I am 17 years old, born in Albuquerque and raised on the Acoma Pueblo. I am currently a senior at Grants High School and a student at NMSU-Grants, pursuing a degree in Nursing. My future educational endeavors consist of pursuing higher education and studying Nursing. Though, my ultimate goal is to become an Endocrinologist and serve my community in health-related issues.
